Meet Your North Liberty Chiropractor
Dr. Kayla Davis, D.C.
Palmer College Graduate
Gonstead Chiropractic Specialist
From Simpson, she moved on to Palmer College of Chiropractic. While at Palmer, she became involved in the Troxell Intern Program. This program is an extensive internship that specializes in the Gonstead system of chiropractic. During her time in the program, she served as assistant head intern as well as head intern of a group of other highly motivated chiropractic students. This program provides roughly two years of chiropractic experience. Also in the program, she taught classes in technique and x-ray analysis to fellow chiropractic students.
Dr. Kayla is also very involved in the Gonstead Methodology Institute where she has attended over 100 hours of seminars specializing in the Gonstead technique. She continues to attend weekend seminars every three months. A couple times per year she volunteers as one of the Instructors, passing on some of her experience, knowledge and passion to other students and chiropractors.
Dr. Davis also had to opportunity to participate in a clinic abroad program in Fiji while she was at Palmer, where she went to underprivileged community schools and provided care to the children as well as teachers and community members. During this trip, the group of student interns she went with were able to attend to over 3,500 men, women, and children in 8 clinic days!
Dr. Kayla has taken the Gonstead system of chiropractic and utilized it's principles to adjust in a very specific, but gentle way. She has mentored with many great chiropractors in order to develop her skills. She also has a great network of doctors to work with and learn from while continuing to develop her skills.
Gonstead Monday Night Meetings: Every other month Dr. Kayla travels to Des Moines to meet with ten to twenty Gonstead Chiropractors. Together with Dr. Kayla, these Chiropractors are highly experienced, highly accomplished and highly successful. This group easily contains some of the best and brightest chiropractors from all over Iowa. During this meeting they discuss and review some of their most challenging cases to achieve the best outcome for the patient.
Dr. Kayla has married her best friend Jesse Davis. Together they have a dog named Murphy and a cat named Dixie and currently reside in Davenport, Iowa, but are looking to move closer to the North Liberty area in the near future. For their hobbies, the two enjoy running, doing most athletic activities, trying new healthy (vegan) recipes, and volunteering with the Ducks Unlimited program in the Mississippi Valley Chapter in Davenport. Dr. Kayla also likes to crochet and read chiropractic textbooks/philosophy.
Recently, Dr. Kayla was awarded the 'Dr. Marcus P. Schuelke Memorial Award'. This award is given one time per year for displaying Absolute Faith in Chiropractic, A Total Commitment to Serving Patients and a Dedication to Learning.
